Job Description

We are seeking a Public Relations Coordinator to join our team of Public Relations experts. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a degree or diploma in media relations, mass communications or journalism, and a minimum of 1 year media relations experience. The successful candidate will be able to draft Press Releases and media content, think creatively, manage media relations, and support the team in client meetings. Job Responsibilities Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with local and regional media Draft and distribute press releases, press communications, and media invitations for client events Follow up with media to ensure maximum exposure and coverage Plan, organize, and attend client events, press conferences, and media events Liase between the media and the client during media and client events Manage and update media lists Share creative ideas with the team and with the client Media monitoring Draft monthly activity reports Related tasks as and when required

Skills and Experiences


Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to multi-task and deal with several clients simultaneously Draft media content and press releases Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with local and regional media Media monitoring A good understanding of social media platforms and how to implement a social media strategy (Facebook, Youtube, Digg, Twitter, Flickr, Google+ etc.) would be an advantage.


A diploma or degree in mass communication, media relations, English or journalism
