Job Purpose:  
Carry out credit reviews across the Corporate Banking to ensure risk exposure is within GB’s appetite for risk.

  1. Independent Credit Assessment
    Conduct independent credit risk assessments on applications
  2. Quality Control
    Conduct quality checks on credit applications to ensure they meet requirements of credit committees etc
  3. Account /Covenant Monitoring
    Monitor excesses and repayments and follow-up with RMs. Provide reports on pending approval covenants to RMs on quarterly basis
  4. Portfolio review
    Carry out effective and comprehensive portfolio reviews
  5. Proper Risk classification
    Classify risk across portfolios and applications in line with industry standards
  6. Control reports/follow-up
    Generate control reports/Carry out effective follow-up on risk related matters for allocated accounts

Education, Knowledge & Experience:

Education /Qualifications:
Professional Accounting/Finance/Banking qualifications
Knowledge:
Knowledge of the Banking industry, risk management and all regulations governing the banking business e.g. CBK, Basel II,III etc.
Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in the banking industry, of which at least 1 year in credit or risk management
