18 Vehicles with Speed Detecting Cameras and P2P System on roads from Jan 20

Interior Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic and Operations Affairs Major Gen. Jamal Al-Sayegh launched 18 vehicles fitted with mobile speed cameras on main and side roads.

He also launched a point-to-point (P2P) system along Abdaly Road to spot speed limit violations, which will begin its operation from Sunday, Jan 20.

Operations Director at the Traffic Department Col Yousuf Al-Khaddah explained about the mobile speed detecting camera vehicles and how it monitors the speed of the vehicles while moving or remaining motionless, and how it captures the license plate numbers. He also explained the P2P system and how it checks and videotape all inbound and outbound vehicles.
